Greetings,
Welcome to my blog, I’m so glad you’ve found me.
My family and friends have long known I am a jumper. In my youth I jumped from roommate to roommate, job to job, place to place and school to school. Then I found my wonderful and supportive husband, who I thought would help me to settle down. Since we were married, his job has had us jumping from city to city, house to house, school to school and church to church. All this change has been ideal for a couple who enjoys challenges and travels, but not so great for our only child who prefers to stick in one place.
Having had so many varied types of experiences has left me with a wealth of information to draw upon in my writing. My current project is a creative non-fiction story about my spiritual walk with God and how I ignored my calling for far too long. The original title was going to be “Testimony of a Stubborn Woman,” but the current working title is “Wake Up, Sleepers!” I’ll keep you up to date on my progress.
Seven attempts at college finally netted me a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities with a minor in English Literature. While I gained an Associate’s Degree for Business Management and Travel in my early twenties, I should have known that being a travel agent was not quite where my purpose lay. I have traveled much more for my husband’s job than I ever did (or could afford) on my own. I have also gained a diploma from a correspondence children’s literature course. I tell you these things because I am owning them.
Here’s me, finally in my forties, understanding my purpose. Thank you, Jesus!
Now, if I can just figure out how to pull all the words from my brain. They are in there somewhere…
