Happy Thanksgiving!

I regretfully had to cancel my events last weekend-a first time for me. I developed this cold that took me down. My apologies to those who stepped out to see me and didn’t see my notice in advance. I would have enjoyed your visits!

In other news, I wanted to share what I’ve been working on. I have joined a mentoring program with the awesome Matt Tommey (Hey, Matt!) to become a “thriving Christian artist.” One strange thing that has been happening is that Holy Spirit has been drawing me away from writing while encouraging me to increase my art skills. Since I always try to listen and obey God, I’ve been drawing regularly and painting with watercolor. I’m working my way through the book “Everyday Watercolor” by Jenna Rainey, with a 30-day plan and lessons that are easy to follow. My plan for the rest of the year is to continue painting, drawing, and working the mentoring program in between gatherings with family and friends.

We shall see where I land in January. My daughter will be home from college until the middle of the month, so that is about when I will be re-evaluating. For now, I may not be posting every week, and if I do, it may be a current artwork.

I’m grateful for the work God is doing in me, as well as my many blessings. Here’s hoping you find much to be grateful for, and have a very fulfilling and
