1/2 Nano

I am now halfway through NaNoWriMo and am unbelievably excited about these books. Yes, I just said books, with an s. Instead of writing one 50,000 word novel, my story is geared at middle age kids (8-12) and will be at least three, maybe four chapter books. They should run about 12,000-13,000 words per book. I will be updating my Christian Tompta page in the near future, but for now I will just tell you that I am creating a world using elements of our every day life and magic. Each day is an advenure as these characters talk to me and tell me their story…

Nano has been just the jolt I needed to get my bottom in the chair and become serious about writing. I am grateful I have been given this opportunity and that I chose to take it. But, I hope I am able to keep up my stamina because at this halfway point, the story continues to grow. And it is a whopper!

My hope for you this afternoon is that you can find a unique way to express your creativity – that you can open that inner door and let it flow.
