Dawn of a new day…

Divine intervention

drives him to fly to

Dhabi Abu or Abu Dhabi.

Destiny calls him away.

Deploring war…

dividing families,

delving into issues,

denying problems,

delivering news.

Debating,

deciding,

declaring,

defending…

Defeating.

Daughter cries again as he’s

denied leave.

Dates of birth and Christmas

delay a homecoming.

Dad’s in the Air Force.
