Work it Out (a Poem)

Fighting with the spouse,

striding through the house.

Work it out, work it out.

Traveling we’re fighting again,

everyone has their opinion.

And we work, we work it out.

Don’t leave the house –

Without a sweet goodbye.

Talk, talk, talk. Cry, cry, cry.

Don’t go to bed angry,

Make sure we’re not hungry.

Talk, talk, talk…try, try, try.

Why do we do it?

Every. Single. Person. Different.

We talk and cry, and work it out.

Love turns it around…

and then a hug surrounds,

because we worked, we worked it out.
