Hello friends!
As you know, I’ve been diligently writing since November first for Nanowrimo, and I am currently over 41,000 words toward my goal of 50,000 for my novel. I plan to finish the rough draft this week!
I use the word novel loosely, because I think I am going to turn this into a set of four chapter books for children aged 8-12.
I love gnomes and for a long time they have been getting a bad rap in America. I decided to write an adventure story about the misunderstood creatures. In northern Europe they are known as tompte or nisse and are considered spirit guardians, but my story places them in Ohio around my neighborhood.
The main character, Christian Tompta, lives with his family in a human’s bookcase (indoors) and just before he turns thirteen, he is given a mission. If he is successful, he will earn his mystic shoes and a matching conical (cone-shaped hat).
Will he complete his mission? Will he earn his mystic shoes?

Peace to you and God’s Blessings for this Thanksgiving week!
That is awesome! Since you are planning 4 books, can you think abut making them seasonal (1 for summer, 1 for winter, 1 for spring and 1 for autumn)? Could be fun! You will just need to change description a little bit (guessing).

No, they all take place over the course of a few days…
