My 2015 NaNoWriMo Book

Holla!

That’s right, the end of November and therefore the end of NaNoWriMo 2015 has come, and I’m happy to report I won! What does that mean exactly? Well, if you have followed along with my updates, you know the goal was to write a novel of at least 50,000 words. I did it! I made it, I even have a certificate to prove it!

What comes next with the novel? Well, this book will need a couple of re-writes, and then an editor will need to look at it for grammar and structure issues. I will happily fix those, and then I can have beta readers look at it before I shop it around for publishing, or perhaps decide to self-publish. I hear great things about the self-publishing industry these days, which has changed the whole of the publishing industry, mostly due to the development of e-readers. Who doesn’t have one these days? Or at least an app? They are a convenient way to keep your library small and get books for less $$.

What’s next for me? Well, I will continue to work on my “Coffee and Yarn Club” running story as I publish an episode every Tuesday. Also, I am still slowly working on my Testimony book which is now named “You Are Forgiven.” In between times, I will work on blog posts, poems and topics that inspire me. I have recently become very active on Twitter so if you’re on it, check me out there.

My Thanksgiving was quiet. My little family spent the day together eating a traditional turkey meal and then we met up with friends for dessert, so it was pretty close to perfect. I hope you enjoyed yours. Now I am gearing up for the busy Christmas season with many gatherings and travel – which is exciting and exhausting: baking, shopping, wrapping, decorating, etc. But I love it. And I love the reason for my favorite holiday season – to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Who doesn’t love a birthday party, eh?

Take care. Peace be with you throughout this season!
