What brings couples together that last?

Is it a commonality in their past?

Perhaps they have both played a sport,

or met at an all-inclusive resort.

Maybe they were introduced at a party

both laughing at a joke heartily,

or maybe they bumped together in the rain,

and then, acknowledged each others pain.

Maybe they both costumed up for a faire

and across the green, he spotted her lovely-locked hair,

or maybe their friends wanted to set a couple up

and at their joyful surprise, he invites her for a cup.

Perhaps they met at the library, or the book shop
