A Moon’s Prerogative

Man’s a puppet to the gravitational moon,

as it brings forth his uncontrollable emotion.

He feels over and over, month after month,

as joy against rage plays day after day.

Waxing and waning as it turns full then new,

man makes his choices – at least a poor few –

causing news to scare and teardrops to flow,

is it his own fault when a building is blown?

A woman’s menstruation, the tides of the sea,

the behavior of fish, the hormones of bees,

spawning of coral, iguanas timing their stride,

the moon affects all, no creature can hide.
